Deputy CM of Haryana, Mr Dushyant Chautala agreed to the removal of market fees for purchase of timber. He was talking to the industry leaders in Yamunanagar during the MSME Conclave organized by Yamunanagar Chamber of Commerce and Industry on March 3, 2022. During the district industry body meeting he also agreed to resolve other issues related to various demands of the traders including C Form. After the discussion he said to give good news soon.
Earlier Mr JK Bihani, President, Haryana Plywood Manufacturers Association (HPMA) had said that there is no market fee on timber purchase in any state. Two percent fee is levied only in Haryana. Efforts are being made to remove it for 12 years but no results till date. The cost on raw materials increases due to this and due to that the wood panel industry manufacturers & traders are lagging behind in the market competition. Many factories are on the verge of closure and some of them have even closed due to rising price of timber.”
He also drawn attention regarding payment issued due to Corona and said that the cases to MSMEs has increased significantly to many folds which was earlier nearly 40/ month and asked to have a separate hearing facility like Gurgaon and Faridabad. He also demanded for the exemption from various types of taxes. Like Punjab and other states he asked for relief in the withheld estimate of GST in C form. There are more than five thousand factories in the district which have been doing business for a long time, but now there is a problem due to CLU permission. Only 50 factories have it that is why he also sought relief in this regard.
Other industry and trade representatives including the chairman of Traders Welfare Board Mr Ram Niwas Garg asked for road construction and its proper management. Similarly, MLA Mr Ghanshyamdas Arora requested to make a ring road from Kamani Chowk to highway and in the same way from Kail via Dadupur canal to Kalanaur. They also requested to set up ICD depot near the railway line so that the goods made of industrial units can be easily loaded on railways and raw material can be transported to factory. This will facilitate the import and export of goods.
