In a tragic incident, a fire broke out at a furniture market in the Gandhi Nagar area of Delhi. A report by SURFACES REPORTER.
According to the reports, a fire broke out in a furniture shop in East Delhi's Gandhi Nagar market on Saturday morning.
No injuries were reported yet. A short circuit is expected as the cause of fire.
A fire incident call was received at 10.30 am and four fire tenders were pressed into service. The rescue operation continued for about an hour and the fire was controlled at 11:30 am, a Delhi Fire Service (DFS) official said.
Second such incidents in last four months
This is second such incident in last four months. In October 2023, a massive fire erupted at a furniture market in Kirti Nagar. The fire engulfed at least three furniture stores in the market. Short circuit is again cited as the reason for the fire.
