The growth in the Infrastructure sector in India has been fuelling the demand of Aluminium Composite Panels (ACP) in the market, resulting in this sector having posted double growth in its revenue in the last 5 years. Report also indicates that the top 4 brands in the ACP segment are expected to reach nearly Rs 500 crores revenue in 2023-24. Ply Reporter study finds that the growth in the ACP segment has been noted with growing its different application and value added products which was limited to facade usage before.
Reports say that the infrastructure budget layout of the Government in Highways, Airport, Railways, Hospitalities, Medical Institutes, etc has been supporting the usage of ACP. The huge quantity of ACP has been applied for making Vande Bharata train bogies, New Railway stations, Metro trains, Signages, Petrol Pumps etc. The recent announcement on renovation of railways stations, bus stands, and new airports will support ACP demands further.
The introduction of value added products such as Fire Retardant ACP, Honeycomb ACP, Zinc Based ACP etc has helped to improve trust of these products among users. The facade consultants have preferred these products on premium grade building exteriors. The installation of many color coating lines are also supporting better and quick service of these materials to users.
The ACP has also penetrated their line in the residential segment as well with new applications such as 6mm HPL, Interior Louvers, Gift Items etc. As per market report there are almost 25 to 30 folders available in 6 mm ACP HPL market, a dozen of ACP producers are offering Interior Louvers with innovative presentation, 1 mm ACP are again reaching for interior application. Partition Panels have emerged as a hit product by ACP producers in economical categories; almost 50 ACP producers are offering products in this category.
