The companies say that owing to its high density, the product exhibits tremendous screw- holding capacity with no warpage, bending or undulation even in extreme conditions and usage.

Century Prowud views that unlike conventional boards, Century’s SPB Range is manufactured using advanced processes that reinforce density and strength, enabling it to withstand heavy usage and resist damage even under challenging conditions. Action Tesa and Greenlam Particle Boards are also offering these boards to the domestic market, and driving awareness among users. Ply Reporter talked to a number of retailers and they are very much excited to find such a feature in particle boards, and they are offering it to their customers.

Earlier, Marine-grade board wasn’t universally standard in India but with IS:710 standard from the Bureau of Indian Standards has set a benchmark for this highquality, boiling-proof plywood. This standard ensures the plywood is bonded with strong, waterproof phenolformaldehyde resin, making it extremely resistant to water damage, rot, and delamination, and suitable for marine applications and other high-moisture environment. The unique composition and water-resistant properties make marine board a go-to choice for applications where moisture exposure is a concern. From building boats to crafting outdoor furniture, marine plywood is a trusted solution for demanding projects.
