“Saving resources with modern forming concepts” is core theme no. 3, with their “Eco” concepts ContiRoll® Ecodrive, EcoFormer, Ecoresinator, EcoPulser and EcoSifter, among others. They illustrate how resource efficiency is becoming a strategic factor in the engineered wood industry.
The shredding technology from Siempelkamp’s subsidiary Pallmann was on display at the stand presented by several real exhibits. It stands for targeted material disintegration and sophisticated logistics concepts. Wood-based material producers thus secure considerable cost and competitive advantages, conserve valuable resources and reduce emissions.
The Siempelkamp subsidiary Buttner also stands for resource efficiency. Buttner energy plants contain, for example, modern electrostatic precipitators that remove dust from the flue gas or systems for significant NOx reduction. Today, Buttner drying plants almost exclusively contain wet electrostatic precipitators (WESP) to separate the dust. Biological filters are also used to reduce formaldehyde.
