At Amulya Mica it has been our earnest endeavor to provide our clients and patrons with the best of the products and services with focus on ever improving performance. “We are pleased to share that in this perpetual journey, we have attained yet another milestone, by obtaining the “Reaction to Fire Test” certification for our PVC Board from world’s leading, Swiss test agency, SGS,” said Mr Rakesh Agarwal, Managing Director, Amulya Mica.
“As we know, PVC boards are being used in interior and furniture applications wherein they have replaced wood based panels since these boards are 100% waterproof, termite proof and fire resistant. However this quality of resisting the fire or stopping the flame from spreading is not equal in all PVC boards,” he added. This quality of fire resistance requires the PVC board formulation to have good quality imported raw materials including virgin PVC resin.
“We need to understand that in case of an un-fortunate fire occurrence in our homes, especially kitchen area, we might have to pay with the priceless lives of our family members and therefore it is necessary that we use a product which not only claims, but is actually proven to be safe from fire,” he added further.
The latest Amulya Mica SGS certification proves that Amulya PVC board to be safe from the fire and the salient features of the report are as follows…
1. The test has been done as per European test standard EN 13501-1:2018.
2. As per the report the product has been classified as B-s1, d0
3. Class "B" means that the product is combustible with “very little” contribution to fire.
4. "s1" means that smoke emission during combustion is either absent or is weak. Therefore there will be no suffocation from smoke in case of fire.
5. "d0" means that production of flaming droplets during combustion is NIL i.e no dripping of hot substances will occur. Therefore secondary burn injuries will not take place
No other WPC/PVC board brand has such a “Fire Test” report from a European lab, which fact makes this report even greater a matter of pride.
This report will give Amulya Mica PVC board a big edge over its competitors’ material. The architects, interiors and government agencies will find one more compulsive reason to use Amulya Mica PVC board in their projects.
