TRUBOND has come up with an economical alternative to melamine in terms of MELMA – MR Grade Fortifier. The new solution is cost effective and facilitates no change in process. It is easy to use as it is added only 2% during cooking.
The release from the company says that TRUBOND MELMA helps improve MR properties of commercial plywood resin at budget costing for plywood manufacturers. MELMA increases cross linking efficiency of the polymer and improves resistance to moisture environment, similar to addition of melamine in MR grade plywood resin.
The superior polymerization capability of MELMA helps resin to achieve MR grade plywood without losing the water tolerance targets of different factories. MELMA also helps reduce dry-out of glue layer which is a common problem during summer times, thus providing for consistency in application during all weather.

It also improves glue layer plasticity, thereby improving strength and dimensional consistency of hot pressed sheets.
THE ADVANTAGES OF TRUBOND MELMA INCLUDE:
- Superior cross linking efficiency for MR grade plywood
- Economical solution than Melamine
- Improved resin tack
- Prepress process compatible
- Retains water tolerance unlike melamine
- Better glue plasticity
- Improves glue spread uniformity
- Easy to use
- No change in any process
TRUBOND also offers customised specialty additives for addition at the reaction stage or glue mixing stage. For more details on special processing requirements of the factory, contact TRUBOND at Email: sales@trubond.in and Whatsapp: +919313801910.
