Acrylic sheets are becoming a hot surface panel productsduring last two years. Post covid era, this pre finished material uses have grown, reveal the findings at thousands of retail counters. There are 60 plus folders of acrylic range, that are now available in India markets from different trading houses with average of 30 designs. There are no manufacturers in India so far yet the market of Acrylic surface sheets are growing faster specially after Covid. The sheets are available in 2mm, 1.5 mm, 1.3 mm and 1 mm thicknesses with different features and colours but the prevailing thickness of 1.3 to 1.5 mm are in maximum demands. As per market report every retail counters are looking for an acrylic sheet folder with growing product uses at interior contractors. A Pune based retailer says that Acrylic sheets gives a good profit margin, hence this product has been a primary choice for every retail counter.
A Ludhiana based retailer says that he is promoting Acrylic Sheets folder in place of PVC laminates now, because he earns more margins in this product. The added feature such as ultra clear Glossy looks, Anti Scratch, Matt and new solid colors options make this product more attractive when it applies to interior decor panels and furniture.
Euro Pratik has the highest range in Acrylic sheets categories followed by a dozen of brands such as Trend, Rang, Bravia, Surface Concept, etc. A new product ‘Acrymica’ from the house of Mumbai based Praveedh Decor has created buzz in market because its back of craft paper like laminates. According to reports, a Delhi based company is setting up a big capacity Acrylic sheets manufacturing unit in collaboration with a Turkish brand in North India.
The ground reports indicate that Acrylic Sheets are taking a some/partial share of PVC laminates in many places because Interior Designers give preference to these sheets for shutters, cabinets, wardrobe etc. Seeing the market scenario PVC Laminates brands such as Meraki, Skydecor etc are also entering into Acrylic sheets offering with Make in India initiative.
