Having associated with Brand Sunmica for almost 17 years now, Mounika Enterprises was established in the year 1996 at Vijayawada, A.P as a supplier of MDF and later diversified their activities in plywood, laminates, and veneer and opened a branch with the same name at Vishakhapatnam (Vizag) in 1998 and become distributors for Sunmica Laminates in AP. The Ply Reporter talked to Mr. Ch. B. G. Tilak the owner of Mounika Enterprises about the brand support in their growth. According to him, the brand Sunmica helped them grow many folds in very short span of time. Here is a snapshot of the conversation.

 Q.  How far has been your journey with Sunmica brand?

 A.  It is almost 17 years now, we have been associated with Brand Sunmica, after the establishment of our branch at Vishakhapatnam, the company’s COO &
Director Mr. J.L Ahuja & Branch Manager, Hyderabad, Mr. T.R Rao approached us offering distributorship for Vishakhapatnam & surrounding districts. We got
convinced about the product and the company’s approach and accepted the offer. Since then we are the distributors for Sunmica Laminates in A.P.   

 Q.  How did you first come to know about this brand and how important do you feel brand Sunmica has been for your business growth?        

 A.  Sunmica being a familiar and popular brand existing for more than five decades, everyone knew about it. And after becoming distributors for Sunmica brand

 Q.  What is the best thing do you like the most about Sunmica brand?

 A.  Sunmica is known for quality and durability and the best part it is the only company which has professional values and working system. Our association with
Sunmica brand for all these years has helped us in turning to a professional organisation also.

 Q.  How do you find Sunmica brand after change of hands since 2011?

 A.  Having said that, being a professional organisation having outstanding marketing staff across India, we noticed that there’s still more efficiency, competence and system driven.

 Q.  How important has been a long-term association with a brand like Sunmica for the growth of dealers?

 A.  Being loyal distributors for Brand Sunmica, having a long association, it gives us immense pleasure & happiness for mutual growth achieved over the years.

 Q.  With the changing modern marketing style to offer laminates to market with vibrant colors, textures, schemes, new launches with aggression. In this regard what is your perception about AICA?

 A.  Now brand Sunmica is a Japanese Company, however, Japanese are always innovative and creative, the range vis-à-vis; textures, 3D Look, Synchronized Series, Shimmer, Japanese Trends Collection etc., are a unique which AICA has among its peer companies.

 Q.  What are the best things with AICA for Vizag market?

 A.  We have our own Clientele base consisting of Architects, Builders, contractors who only opt for Sunmica and no other brands because they know the consistent quality parameters of this brand.

 Q.  Many development works are in pipeline in AP, so how do you look opportunity with AICA laminates?

 A.  After the division of two states, now A.P is becoming a trendsetter and we are very much confident about our future business and anticipation, as we are holding such brand.

 Q.  How do you see the business with brand AICA after GST?

 A.  After the implementation of GST, we have become much more competent and nevertheless to say only renowned brands like Sunmica will exist in the present scenario.

 Q.  What do you feel, is the best thing that has been offered by AICA in the last 3 years?

 A.  As regards to the brand promotion and participation in shows like IIID, exhibitions, Architects & Carpenter meets frequency has been increased in the last three years.

 Q.  According to you what is the advantage of Japanese technology for your customers?

 A.  There are more than 50% customers who demand quality products and AICA, being Japanese Company; we don’t require much effort in convincing our customers/clients, regarding quality parameters.

 Q.  In your opinion, what new products should be added by the company in its product package in near future?

 A.  The range Sunmica has at the moment is the best among the rest.
