With change in demand patterns of the decorative surface products, Indian PVC laminate players are venturing in to Acrylic laminate manufacturing with ‘make in India’ initiative. Some of them have recently launched their catalogue with current favourite collections. Many of the PVC brands, are also planning for bringing new catalogues. Shortly few more players will be seen in this segment.
Mumbai based Praveedh Decor has introduced ‘Acrymica’, which is the world's first patented technology-based product with bonding of Acrylic and Kraft Paper, first of its kind of product in the world. Meraki Laminates Pvt Ltd has launched Make in India Acrylic laminates with a collection of over 56 designs. The next are Skydecor Laminates, who have also launched a folder of Acrylic laminates. Advance Decorative has also announced to come into this segment very soon. As per reports, many laminate producers are planning to enter into Acrylic Laminates offering, and shortly the market will see a dozen of Make In India Acrylic Laminates Folders.
“Before offering, we did a lot of R&D and after total satisfaction we came up with it. With this offering we are sure that the import based market can be easily shifted to it and the market will grow ten times,” said Mr Manoj Bansal, Director, Skydecor laminates.

The dealers and distributors say that the high end customers are more inclined towards Acrylic laminates. One of the distributors from Visakhapatnam says that Acrylic laminate is the market demand today and it is the latest choice of the customers. Another distributor from Bangalore says Acrylic laminate is a new item and its sales are picking up these days.
