The noise of Acrylic laminates is resonating in markets all over. It is lauded in the market since the last 6 months specially. The imported Acrylic sheets have become a must have item that consumers are willing to use on Kitchens and also some time on wardrobes. With each passing week, importers as well as domestic producers are introducing an exclusive range of Acrylic Laminates. Market reports that there are approx. 15 new folders of acrylic laminates that have reached the market in the last 6 months. The offerings are claiming to have new colors of acrylic sheets that is indirectly helping the solid colors sales growth in decorative laminates as well.
Every company/brand is claiming exclusivity in colors. Glass and mirror look acrylic sheets are much appreciated by the market but the Matt/Super Matt range has also been liked by users for shutters and cabinets. It is noted that Acrylic sheets are available in different thickness in the market ranging from 1 mm to 2mm, but most preferred thickness is 1.25 mm, 1.4 mm and 1.5 mm. Some companies are offering Acrylic Panel sheets with substrate materials MDF and Birch Ply. More than 10 companies are supplying such Acrylic Boards directly to Kitchen and Furniture manufacturers for shutters. But, the growth has seen more prevalent since last one year because of growing interest in retail demand.
Imported Acrylic laminates brands’ folders such as Glorio, Rang etc are visible and are seeing a flow of many buyers and growth. Where as in Make In India categories, Acrymica, Meraki, Skydecor Acrylic laminates folders are attracted many retailers and they look forward to sell their materials. Carpenters and Interior contractors are effectively using these Acrylic materials but there are also complaining of few cases of delaminating after some time. With growing awareness, and very clear Glass look appearance, Acrylic sheets look attractive and enhance the beauty of furniture.
The recent survey finds that a dozen of domestic companies are working on manufacturing of Acrylic sheets in the India market, and within a year, the market will see more number of Acrylic folders from the houses of Indian companies.
