Supa Laminates group has now started manufacturing particle board and edge band tapes, targeting the OEMs and retail segments of the market. They are one of the pioneers in manufacturing decorative laminates, door skins, exterior claddings, plywood, flush doors, etc. "We are now manufacturing bagasse-based particle board with lamination as well." At present, the production of pre-lam particle board is around 4500 boards per day. The production has already started, and by next month the ready products will be available in the market," said Mr Rohit Aggarwal, Director, Supa Laminates.
"We have also ventured into the manufacturing of edge band tapes with the objective of offering matching edge band solutions with our decorative laminates and pre-lam board solutions. Currently, the production of edge banding has been started with around 20 to 30 designs, but soon its offering will be widened to different solutions," he added. The company has grown into high-tech manufacturing. Their unit based in Sampla (Rohtak) in Haryana is efficiently functioning very well under the leadership of young and dynamic directors Mr Shobhit Aggarwal and Mr Rohit Aggarwal.
Mr Rohit Agarwal also said that they have ordered 7 to 10 textures of plates with glossy finishes as well and are trying to match their edge banding solutions with laminates and pre-lam boards to offer customers and OEMs a seamless look in designs after application. "In terms of quality, we are providing the best possible quality as per the condition and requirement of the market. The thickness we prefer is 17 mm, but we can also provide 11 mm and 8 mm if it is required," he added.
They are targeting both kinds of markets, like OEMs as well as the retail segment, with their new offerings, while also complementing their existing product portfolio. The main objective of launching edge banding is to provide a matching edge solution with Supa Laminates and bagasse-based pre-lam particle board solutions. In this offering of edge banding solutions, they currently have 75 shades that are ready, and within a month or two, they will be able to match their complete range in laminate and pre-lam boards, revealed company officials.
