KTA & HPMA increase Plywood & Flush Door prices

Raw material cost inflation and rising timber prices have compelled the plywood manufacturers in north and west to increase the rates of Plywood at the rate of 5 % and Flush Door & Block Boards by Rs. 3/ Sq Ft,  as notified by KTA.

The decision to increase the prices was taken in the respective meetings of all the members of the Kandla Timber Association on 17th December, 2024 at Timber Bhawan and members of Haryana Plywood Manufacturers Association at Gymkhana Club on 18th December. HPMA announced the increment of 5 % on all types of Plywood, Block Boards and Flush doors.

Both of the leading associations in the Indian wood panel industry cite that due to significant increases in the cost of raw materials, including timber, resin and labour cost, so the decision has been made by all the members to implement a price increase on plywood products.

The rise in timber prices, combined with escalating resin and labour costs, has made this change necessary to maintain the quality and consistent supply of the product. While we understand that price increases can be challenging, this decision has been made collectively to ensure the continued sustainability of the industry.

These aforementioned price adjustments will take effect from 18th December 2024.
