Monday, 09 March 2026

Indian Laminate Manufacturers Association has issued an advisory pertaining to the impact of raw material cost inflation on different thickness of laminate sheets amidst ongoing war situation in Middle-East involving Iran. As per ILMA, the supply and prices of several key raw materials used in laminate manufacturing have increased sharply. This has led to a significant rise in the overall cost of production across the industry.

In the current hard pressed situation for manufacturers, the overall input cost of the different laminates sheets such as Liners, 0.8mm, 0.9mm, 1.00mm and Door Skin is to beincreased by Rs 35, Rs 50 Rs 60, Rs 70 and Rs 50 respectively.

Looking further to combat the current disturbances, members are further advised to exercise cautious and maintain strict payment discipline. The association has also cautioned the stakeholders for the timely collection of payments from the market so that supplier payments can be managed smoothly, as the raw material market is currently operating under tighter financial and supply conditions.

The Board Members of the Association are closely monitoring the situation and will continue to review the cost impact. Members will be updated regularly regarding any major changes in raw material availability or pricing.
