In view of the prevailing market conditions and continued uncertainties in the availability and pricing of raw materials due to global logistics upheavals, the All India Edgeband Manufacturers Association has recently advised all the members to increase their products prices by 10% immediately with effect from 8th September so that the input cost burden on the domestic manufacturers can be offset to a certain extent.
The ongoing global conflict continues to disrupt supply chains and restrict the availability of key raw materials, resulting in a significant increase in input and operational costs across the industry as the industry imports a significant amount of raw material & chemicals for the domestic production from overseas but since the start of Aug 2026, there is steady increase in the prices and now the raw material prices are above absorption level. Consequently, the producers find it hard to keep the production control intact; hence they are forced to pass the cost burden into the market to maintain their product quality.
The Association will also continue to monitor the global logistic situation and keep the members updated in case any further developments in raw material availability and pricing arise owing to sporadic market disruptions.
