Durian laminates has opened a display gallery in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It has been made in an area of 1200 sqft where its range of 1150 full sheet laminates have been put on display. With this gallery the company expects good coverage of dealers in Jaipur and nearby areas. "We wish to cover 70 to 80% of the dealers in the region with this gallery. The display rotation in the gallery will be with the change of the catalogue, as every 12 or 14 months the catalogue gets updated, so with the same frequency the gallery display will also be updated," said Mr Vishal Dokania, Director, Durian Laminates, Cedar Decor Pvt. Ltd.
The newly constructed gallery was inaugurated on July 8, 2022 by the chief guest of the opening ceremony, Mr Lalchand Kataria, Agriculture Minister, Government of Rajasthan. On the occasion a large number of dealers, distributors, architects and interior designers were present. Mr Lalchand Kataria congratulated the company officials for this initiative and said, "This is a company display showroom that brings a difference. Innovation is a prime factor for growth as the youth want something new. They dream of it and the company is going to fulfil their desire. Such display gallery will help to decorate homes, offices, hotels, hospitals, and many other public places for public concerns and serve the people for their interior décor needs in a better way.”
According to Mr Dokania, the objective of opening this gallery is to support all their dealers as this is a non-sale gallery. Many times, people face difficulty selecting from a catalogue with a large number of collections these days. So, the dealers can bring their customers to have a full sheet view of the sheet of their choice among more than 1,000 sheets on display. Once a customer walks in, the selection is guaranteed in an easy way. “We have opened galleries in Ahmedabad and have seen that with such galleries the sales of nearby retailers and dealers have been boosted. With such a gallery, it becomes a permanent brand as the customers, dealers, and architects frequently visit the place," he added.
On the occasion, the dealers and retailers were enthusiastic about having such a gallery in their city. Mr Yash Goyal, Proprietor, Goyal Brothers said, "If we talk about the retail point of view, we cannot carry such a vast number of sheets in the showrooms. Secondly, many customers ask to see the complete sheets after liking them in the catalogue. At that time, we used to ask the distributors to send a photo of that. With this display gallery, our biggest issue has been resolved, as now we can take our customers here to see their choice with full sheet display. This is like a walk-in catalogue.
This is the only Durian display gallery in the city, so there is no adverse effect on our sales. In fact, due to it, our sales will improve. This is Durian’s third gallery in the country in continuation. “We are moving forward with the idea of having a display gallery with each of our branch offices. We are coming up with three more galleries, one each in Bangalore, Pune, and Lucknow, "Mr Dokania informed. "We are building a team that will focus on architects and interior designers. The retail team is already there and their 20% will be meeting architects and interior designers," he said.
