ACE Mica started offering of non folder Decorative laminates in 1mm targeting to the architect and interior designers. They started new flutes. “With our all ten brands something new has been offered to the customers, but now the reason grow non folder items is that it gives good margin to retailers as well as distributors,” said Mr Mukesh Kanoi, Director, Ace Mica Private Limited. “With its exclusive offerings people prefer to keep its stock. In the folder item the market is over flooded and competition is too high that is eating up margin of traders and manufacturers. The manufacturers are getting support from exports that are saving them.”

“With opening up exports, now all variants of MDF have started coming. With it and increasing domestic
manufacturing, there is a supply shoot-up. The market grows by 10% per year, but now there is oversupply. If the demand and supply do not match, the players have to face stressful situations in the coming time. Hopefully the demand is also growing as of now, and we are hopeful that it will grow, but it has to grow by 50 to 60% to meet the supply, or else there could be an issue for a short time,” he added. They are also pushing their special offering of white MDF across the country.
