PVC based surface decor sheets or ASA panels are the products which are drawing the customers’ attention in the market. Available in the market with different names such as Matte Acrylic, ASA panels etc, these sheets come in 1mm thickness and numerous pastel colors, offering a wide range of shades for the customers to choose from.
Usually imported from China, these PVC based decor sheets are being sold by many retail counters in the country, hence the product is giving stiff competition to Acrylic, PVC and decorative laminate segments by taking a significant share of solid and pastel colors of traditional surface decor products.
Over the last few months, around 20-25 new folders consisting of an elaborate range of PVC based decor sheers have been launched by various entities. As of now each folder generally contains about 25-30 designs which can be increased up to 50-60 shades per folder in the coming months.
The demand for ASA panels is chiefly driven by its weather-resistant properties used for making interior grade furniture, furniture finishes, etc and resistance to impact/corrosion, making them ideal for decor, low-maintenance ndoor applications in the extreme environments.
