Saturday, 04 July 2026

ILMA has issued a price revision advisory in the wake of recent developments in global supply chains, caused by the War in Iran.

As per ILMA, the minimum estimated input cost on various laminate categories based on the current situation is enumerated below:

Thickness    Min. Input Cost Impact

    0.70 mm    ₹40
    0.80 mm    ₹50
    0.90 mm    ₹60
    1.00 mm    ₹70

It is noted that a couple of days The Ply Reporter has reported about recent reduction in Chemical prices after peace deal. The moderation in chemical prices has been giving ease to industry and they will pass this benefit costumers. In the wake of recent ILMA advisory the prices of Laminate will reduce from Rs 25 to Rs 50  per sheet in different thicknesses comparing the last advisory.

However, ILMA has directed every member to prepare their own costing based on their raw material purchase price, inventory position, production cost and market conditions, and take decisions accordingly.

The above cost impact may be considered for both regular range and liner products, wherever applicable. Market conditions and raw material availability are changing rapidly due to ongoing global developments, and all members are advised to remain watchful.

The association also remarked that this advisory is only for general industry guidance and should not be treated as a fixed pricing instruction. Each member must take an independent commercial decision based on their own costing.
