MDF Production Supports in Centuryply Q3 Revenue

Century Plyboards (India) Ltd’s revenue posted increase by 19.9% in third quarter of FY 2017-18 from October to December month to Rs 509.93 cr as against Rs 425.46 cr last year in the same period. The company’s net profit also increased by 25.1% to Rs 46.66cr as against Rs 37.31 cr during the same period last year.

The higher growth in revenue was due to the commencement of commercial production of medium density board at Punjab from October 3, 2017. MDF division reported revenue of Rs 47.59 cr during Oct to December 2017. Century Ply has its MDF brand, Prowud in India market in October. The company promises, its every panel is of Routing grade, because it is made using world class technology. Century Ply’s MDF has installed a capacity of 600 cbm per day in Hoshiarpur, Punjab.

The company’s Plywood and allied products division’s revenue declined marginally by 0.2% yoy to Rs322.72cr as against Rs 323.51 cr. Laminate and allied products division’s revenue grew by 0.5 % yoy to Rs 99.9cr as against Rs 99.36 cr. Whereas Particle Board division’s revenue decreased by 2.4% yoy to Rs 10 cr as against Rs 10.25 cr.
