Greenply Industries has organised a discussion namely ‘GST MEET 2017’on the impending Goods and Services Tax (GST) and its associated impact on the organised plywood sector on May 18, 2017, at Green Lounge Banquet, Mayapuri in New Delhi. The purpose of the discussion was to clarify any doubts that a dealer may have in the context of the plywood business, and therefore the forum was open to all regardless of one’s association with Greenply. More than dealers 200 from Delhi-NCR regions attended the seminar and get benefited from the discussions. The welcome speech was given by Mr Subir Palit, Country Head, Greenply Industries Ltd.
He also introduced the guest speaker to the audience and appreciated their great presence in the seminar. The guest speaker of the session was Mr Gopal of PwC (pricewaterhousecoopers) who spoke about the changes happening in provisions after GST as one nation one tax. He said, “After GST dealers will get the benefit but end users will have to bear the taxes. In this new tax regime, we will not be able to revise our returns, everything will be online. Earlier dealers who were buying goods from other states were not getting input credit, but after GST they will get it.”
