A huge capacity addition in MDF has taken place in 2018 in the country that is yet to be absorbed in the markets. Amidst the growing volumes, one more MDF manufacturing unit is going to be commissioned for a new plant in Uttarakhand. Delhi based, E3 group has now got license for setting up 350 cubic meters per day capacity plant near Kashipur area. The company has also placed confirm order of machinery and plant to a china-based supplier. The line is said to be from China Foam, Conti-role manufacturing process line, which will be equipped to produce Medium density fiberboard from thickness range of 2.0 mm to 35.0 mm. The company says, the new MDF unit would commence its commercial production by next year or beginning of mid of 2019.
The E3 group is already in to manufacturing of edge band tape, Aluminum composite panels, PVC mica and PVC boards. The people behind the group have rose from base and with hardwork and joint working style, they have created E3 as brand that is steadily growing in various sectors. Speaking on crowded MDF segment, Mr. Sanjay Garg says that ‘we have big strength in selling and marketing of panel products hence there is no issue for E3 group in selling our capacity. He added that in future MDF prices will compete with prices of cheap plywood and thus will take share from plywood thus in long term, E3 group will be able to sell entire production within its own group network.
It is known that Uttarakhand is a major producer of MDF boards in India, where three big brands and first movers in MDF and Particle board manufacturing establishments, Balaji Action Buildwell, GreenPanel Industries and Shirdi Industries are successfully running its operation in state. The Ply Reporter study and regular surveys have regularly wrote that ‘MDF is the fastest growing wood panel products during last 4 years, and its demand has been steady growing with an average 20.0 % rate year on year thanks to increasing applications, readymade growth and growing market awareness.
