Indian Paper and Plate Makers Upbeat to Demand

Recent outbreak of Corona epidemic in China, may delay the procurement of raw materials such as printed decor paper and press moulds to Indian Laminates Industry. Most of the HPL producers are worried that due to delay in supply of moulds and paper, their upcoming folders will be postponed beyond their deadline. The Indian producers have started looking for options in India, and they are approaching to Indian Decor Paper printers and Press Moulds producers.

Indian laminates industry is heavily dependent on Chinese Decor Paper printers and Moulds producers. A major chunk of 1 mm laminates producers are totally relied on their decor printed paper where as Chinese Press Moulds have comprised more than half market share. Laminates producers murmur that they would wait for long time because present market is very competitive, and for sustainability they have to serve better to their consumers.

In present scenario, Indian decor paper printers are upbeat to take advantage and they have recently improved their printing quality with advancement in technology with installing high speed machine lines. Indian printers claim that their decor paper printing quality is at par with Chinese paper and they are ready to serve the industry as per their need. Indian Decor printers such as Matchwell, Tanish, Unique Decor, MBEE prints etc has introduced number of innovative range recently, which is much appreciated by laminates producers.

In press mould segment, North based Mapple Group recently has started production in newly commissioned plant, with adding new technology. Hueck-Decent has also started chroming facility in India, and ready to supply better materials. Sesa India is also offering good quality products. As per the report and communication with the Ply Reporter, Press Plates producers and Decor Paper printer are ready to get advantage of recent situation and claim to supply good quality products to Indian laminates companies
