As per Rajasthan Government directive, the plywood, laminates, hardware shops have been allowed to open from 14th May, 2020 in entire states. The government has directed to follow all necessary safety precautions prescribed for work place as per previous guidelines issued i.e. social distancing, wearing masks, not selling a customer who is not wearing a mask, frequent sanitization, etc.
Mr. Ashish Gupta of Ashish International, Jaipur confirmed that the shops in the entire state have been opened from today, as per the government directive and he is following all safety norms prescribed in the guidelines. He also said that many markets had already been opened in Green Zone area since 4th May, and he was supplying the materials to those markets. Now all important markets in entire state like located in Jaipur, Udaipur, Kota, Jodhpur, Bhilwara etc have started their activity from today.
Mr Ashish said that he has been receiving very good orders from all markets and hope that he has to manage its 50% sale in first two months, and it will increase further. Talking about the payments recovery, he informed that he is receiving the old payments but recovery is slow, but all new orders are being taken in advance. The dealers are not hesitant to pay in advance because everyone understands the present scenario. He also advocates for 100 percent organize work culture for future growth of plywood and laminates trade.
Mr Swadesh of Shivam Laminates, Bhilwara said, “Following the instruction the cleaning of shops have been started and hopefully in a day or two the customers will start coming. The notification has given breathing to the shop owners as they were eagerly waiting for it. Mr Dilkhush Vaishnav, from Jaipur said that the shops in outskirts were opened on May 4 with previous order but the customers’ footfall was not there so it was irregular in operation. Today’s order has given breathing to city area and we are hopeful that the hold projects and working in houses will start gradually that will give us opportunity to send material to them. Mr Rajendra Chotia of Jai Shree Industries, Jaipur said that from today most of the market has opened but the buyers are limited. We are hopeful that in a week or fortnight the condition will improve.
