SOPMA Increases Price Of All Types Of Ply by 10%

Saw Mill Owners & Plywood Manufacturers Association’s General Body Meeting of Plywood Manufacturers held on 20-09-2021 unanimously decided to increase the price of all type Plywood products by 10% with effect from 21-09-2021.

The latter issued by them say, “Subsequent price hike in Timber cost, exorbitant cost of input, paranormal increase in the cost of resin, chemicals, veneer, film face import shipping charges, consumables, labour, fuel, transportation, loading & unloading presently we are incurring extra Rs. 3 to 5 rupees per sq. ft for production due to foresaid hike.”

 

“Situation compelled us to increase the cost of all types of plywood products to overcome the present arduous situation and survival of this industry,” said Mr MM Mujeeb Rahman, President, Saw Mill Owners & Plywood Manufacturers Association. They requested all dealers, traders, stockist and agents to co-operate with this proposed price hike and expected valued orders as before.
