Engineer Ply launched a vast range of laser-cut veneer in the exhibition along with the showcase of high grade veneers in full- sheet display of DYED and METALIC along with over sized veneer collection targeting to the premium segment of the market. They received very good response. “We are also making veneer up to 12 ft in length. The current trend is dyed veneer so we are offering a long range of dyed veneer also,” said Mr Ankur Agarwal, Director, Engineer Ply.
During lock-down the premium customers did not change their preferences; just the home construction and work were delayed. It was just a change in time period but the demand did not get affected. It is as usual neither a major growth not any downfall in veneer demand. Those who like veneer do not subside using it,” he added. He further stated that the price of base ply imported from Indonesia increased by 50% due to transportation and sea freight. But, this is a short term phenomena and there is not effect of it in Engineer Ply. To move ahead with the market the investment has definitely increased.
Engineer Ply will be focusing on their furniture segment and consolidate their position as that segment has a wide potential. They are also coming up with exclusive showroom and a new showroom will be functional in next 10 to 15 days in Gurugram, Haryana. They are also upgrading factory strength and improving product offerings.
