Anti-dumping duty imposed on Chinese 'telescoping channel/drawer sliders'

The Government of India has imposed anti-dumping duty on imports ‘Telescopic Channel Drawer Slider’ from China and other countries. The Govt has decided to impose anti-dumping duty of  614 USD per MT  on  both  ‘Telescopic Channel Drawer Slider’  8302 4110, 8302 4190, 8302 4200, 8302 4900 originating in, or exported from China and ‘Telescopic Channel Drawer Slider’ 8302 4110, 8302 4190, 8302 4200, 8302 4900 originating in other subject countries but exported from China,  in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 9A of the Customs Tariff Act read with rules 13 and 20 of the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995.
 
The decision of imposing the anti-dumping duty comes in the wake of findings that the domestic industry has suffered material injury caused by the dumped imports of the subject goods from China and other subject countries, hence the imposition of provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of the subject goods, originating in, or exported from the subject country and imported into India has come into force in order to remove injury to the domestic industry.
 
The provisional anti-dumping duty imposed under this notification shall be effective for a period of six months, unless revoked, amended or superseded earlier, from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette and shall be payable in Indian currency.
