Nearly 60 years old trading firm Solapur based Premier Trading Company is a brainchild of Swapnil Shah’s father. They are well known for quality offerings and play mostly in branded products. Mr Swapnil Shah has been contributing in this trade since last 25 years and move ahead with confidence. He feels the relationship revival with Regency is the need of the hour for economical quality offerings. It will benefit both including the customers of the region.
When did you venture into wood panel trade and how is the journey so far?
Premier Trading Company was started by my father in 1960 and since them we are serving the wood panel industry & trade. Just after completing my study since last 25 years I am contributing to the firm. Day by day we are witnessing growth in each and every product. Theb change is inevitable so with time a number of grading is being done in products offering. For example today plywood is available in five grades so there is much more expansion in the market and we are fulfilling each and every category of customers today so our stock volume has also increased.
How did you get in touch with Regency and which products sales the most?
We were long time associated with Lalit ji initially but with time we moved to other brand products. Very recently since last six months our relationship revived with Regency coming into market and aggressively moving ahead with value and brand offerings. Currently they are offering three range under brand Regency (like Premium, Royal and Crown) and we maintain all its stock. They are trading with all brand backup and sales policy with Regency that is very good and supporting us a lot.
How the market in Solapur and what is the growth prospects?
We are selling our products across 50 km radius. Largely we are getting retail sales because the market is basically Architect based. Today the construction activity has increased so the retail sales in the region.
The generation change has boost the requirement and now people want everything finished at a time and then they move in any home or office.
What support you are expecting from Regency for your sales growth?
They are already supporting us with TV commercial in other areas and planning to this region. In fact they are ready to start local advertisement in this region as well but it my thinking that first to have mouth publicity will benefit us more, we are doing hard work for that. After sales volume increased or having some base I would like to have commercial support and meetings with contractors, carpenters, architects and interior designers that will be much beneficial for both of us. By the end of this year we will have all round development and sales growth.
What would you like to suggest your customers?
This is a market which has mostly relation based business/sales and the major problem is that customers trust us so we have to offer good quality products. We have tested it with Regency and the customers are very much satisfied with them. Now we are confident and in last six months we did not get even single complaint of Regency products. Regency has all of the best offerings on this price point with quality and after sales service support and backup. Customers will automatically move into the brand.
