Arpa Industriale’s participation is marked by an important innovation: “Bloom,” the lignin-based technology created by the company’s R & D department to increase the use of natural raw materials in the core of Arpa HPL and FENIX NTM. With Bloom, lignin technology has been introduced to significantly reduce the amount of phenol included in the resin by 50%.
Lignin, the second-most abundant natural polymer in the world after cellulose, is defined as the glue that holds wood fibres together. Normally used by the pulp industry to produce energy, its use in the formulation of thermosetting resins is a significant innovation.
The new four exclusive FENIX NTM Bloom colours
FENIX NTM, the innovative material for interior design, is extremely matt, with low light reflectivity, features a very pleasant soft touch and is anti-fingerprint. Thermal healing of superficial micro-scratches is also possible. Thanks to its aesthetic and technological characteristics, it is used for a wide range of vertical and horizontal applications.
With the introduction of the Bloom technology, four exclusive colours have been developed specifically: Giallo Kashmir, Verde Brac, Rosso Askja, Azzurro Naxos. Setting new chromatic trends, these colours are available in the 0.7mm thickness and in two sizes (3050x1300mm and 4200x1300mm) with black core.
DOUBLE INTERZUM AWARD 2019 FOR ARPA INDUSTRIALE
The new Arpa HPL finish “Kér” and FENIX NTA® have won as “High Product Quality” at the Interzum Award: Intelligent Material and Design 2019 in the materials and surfaces category.
FENIX NTA, the innovative material for interior design, is a metallic surface with the characteristics of FENIX: extremely matt, gives visual comfort, features a very pleasant soft touch and is anti-fingerprint. Thermal healing of superficial micro-scratches is also possible. Its colours Oro Cortez and Argento Dukat complete the range along with Acciaio Hamilton. FENIX NTA is a material which is suitable for both horizontal and vertical applications.
Also recognized with the “High Product Quality” Interzum Award is the “Kér” finish for Arpa HPL. It is a matte texture that adds sensuous tactility to its unrivaled resistance. The expressive strength of Kér is interpreted through exclusive decors with stylish patterns inspired by elegant textured abstractions. Kér is suitable for both horizontal and vertical applications, and is available in thin and solid HPL.
