India’s leading plywood company, Century Plyboards (India) Ltd., has announced its results for the first quarter of FY 21-22. The company generated net revenue from operations for the first quarter FY 2021- 22 fiscal on standalone basis was Rs 448.88crore; an increase of 124% over corresponding period of last financial year which was Rs. 200.68 crore. The profit after tax for the first quarter FY2021-22, was Rs. 33.89 crore; against Rs 8.49 crores corresponding period of last year.
The segment wise revenue generation from products related to wood panel and decorative industry include: plywood and allied products was Rs 222.62 crore this year from Rs 98.82 crore corresponding last year; Laminate and allied products was Rs 87.88 crore from the Rs 40.28 crore last year; MDF Rs 91.04 crore from Rs 30.23 crore last year and particle board was Rs 23.78 crore from Rs Rs 8.31 crore corresponding period last year.
Commenting on the company’s performance, Mr. Sajjan Bhajanka, Chairman, Century Plyboards (India) Ltd said, “We are very happy to perform considerably well given the current scenario. Though the last quarter was extremely challenging due to the outbreak of the second wave, still we managed to grow our turnover beyond expectation in this quarter. We believe that the strong recovery in June is a sign for us to keep up this consistency in performance for the coming quarters.”
