PVC resin prices have reached Rs 100 per Kg, with an increase of nearly 25% within a month. The rising prices indicate that the prices of finished materials such as WPC board, PVC board, PVC laminate, and Edge banding tape will also rise in the near future. The market report indicates that on December 22, the PVC resin price is Rs 96/Kg. It was Rs 71 on November 15, and since then, the price has been steadily rising.

Previously, PVC and WPC board manufacturers offered competitive prices due to the low cost of PVC resin. Many of them had dropped the price of boards and other finished goods, and the market for PVC/WPC boards, doors, and door frames was reviving, and demand started to increase. With increasing supply, PVC board sales were increasing.

PVC resin prices, which had previously reached Rs 170 to Rs 175 per kg, had dropped to around Rs 110 four months earlier, but till then the market for PVC and WPC boards had shifted to other panel products such as high-density moisture-resistant MDF boards. Once again with prices constantly rising, the industry is in fear that they will have to face the difficult times ahead.
